PreHospital Advanced Stroke Training (PHAST) is an EMS-focused course designed to increase the knowledge, understanding, and recognition abilities of EMS providers toward stroke emergencies.

This course extends far beyond the basics of a 3-step evaluation for stroke patients…it incorporates anatomy & physiology into symptom recognition, and then correlates the patient’s presentation into a more defined and comprehensive stroke assessment.

Assessment, management, and continuity of care are all discussed in this advanced training course.

CE CREDITS:

EMT—6 hours

Paramedic—6 hours
