Penrose Hospital – Grand Rounds – Wilderness Medicine Case Studies
Dr. Hurtado this Thur 7/21 @ noon! Trauma In the Wilderness
Dr. Hurtado will be speaking at Grand Rounds on July 21st on Trauma in the Wilderness.
This will encompass lightning strike victims, horse riding traumas via case studies (i.e. fell off horse, horse fell on him with pelvic fx’s), etc. His presentation is geared to EMS and the ED. Our goal with this is for him to discuss how the injury happened, how EMS was called, what they did, and what was done in the ED. I think it could be a very good way to give credit for the hard work that EMS does. We are giving 1 trauma credit for this lecture.
