An EMT is a health care professional trained in the basic skills needed for rendering care to patients in need of emergency care and transport due to illness or injury.

This course provides the student with core knowledge and skills to function in the capacity of an EMT. Upon successful completion of the EMT course, the candidate is eligible to challenge the National Registry exam to obtain National Certification as an EMT and Colorado State licensure as an EMT.
