Critical Care Pearls: Sepsis and Difficult Airway

Presenter:  Chris Johnson, MD

OBJECTIVES:

Sepsis:

1. Be able to identify patients at risk for sepsis.
2. Understand the pathophysiology related to sepsis.
3. Understand priorities of treatments in the septic patient, including recent literature updates.

Difficult Airway:

1. Recognize patients for which standard RSI may be a bad thing. 

2. Understand techniques for specific difficult airway situations.
